Vero Polo USPA Officers Cup first round

A chilly day at Vero Polo.. but as the saying goes..The only thing worse than cold Polo is no Polo!
Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer on the teams.

In the first match up Environmental Works won over last weeks champions Buckleigh Farms. Marcos Onetto work hard and played well to lead the team to win. Ian Angus stepping in for Robin Melton played a great game off and on the ball. Sometimes all we see is the player with the ball and don't see some of the great plays by his team mates making sure he doesn't get challenged.. Well done Ian & welcome back to Vero Polo.

The 2nd match today was much closer. Shamrock vs Rocking K. Rocking K looking great in their new yellow & orange shirts
A very close match all the way through. Ultimately Shamrock won with a last minute penalty shot.

Shamir Quraeshi joined the Shamrock team for this game and as we are used to played very well. Not only was he a very solid  #4 player but he also got in on some of the action up front.. (by the way he, along with his brothers has a great new line of polo inspired clothing www.http://escue-polo.com/)

Hayden Walsh was the star for the Shamrock team with an uncanny eye for the ball and also where he needed to be on the field to best help the team.

The finals will be next Sunday and we look forward to seeing everyone back at Vero Polo.
Stay warm
